IDENTIFYING FEATURES
Very distinct V-notches. Epidermis shifts between dark green and a very glaucous blue. Usually very short spines, with older growth becoming almost spineless.

ORIGIN
Locality:Egypt
Origin note:Found in Egypt by the SAB forum member using the handle Philocacti, roughly 2001 on the dating in the 2015 source. It spread through collections via SAB members including Aplantis, now trading as Green Candy Genetics, and Misplant.
STORY
Trichocereus are scarce in Egypt, so finding it there is described as a lucky accident. The other Trichocereus Philocacti located in the same country were a taquimbalensis, a cuzcoensis and a melted wax form of bridgesii.
NOTES
Previously had no sources at all and no country. Egypt is well outside the usual range for this hobby, so the record is worth flagging to anyone assuming a South American origin.
