Every entry says how much
anyone actually knows.
Plenty of what circulates in this hobby is somebody's best guess repeated often enough to sound certain. Rather than flatten that out, every record is graded, so you can weigh it yourself.

Well sourced
Traceable to a named source with a date, a locality, or an institutional accession number behind it.
B
Broadly agreed
Origin is known and growers agree on it, but some of the detail is second-hand or unverified.
C
Widely circulated
A name everyone uses with little verifiable origin behind it. Most records start here. That is honest, not lazy.

on their own.
Almost everything here started as somebody writing it down once, in a forum post, a video, a vendor page. Scattered across a decade and a dozen sites. Pulling it together is the easy half. Keeping it right takes the people who actually grew the plants.
If something is missing, add it. If something is wrong, say so. Corrections carry as much weight as new entries, and contributors are credited on the records they help build.
