ORIGIN

Locality:No Data

Origin note:Sacred Succulents independently document the phenomenon: they record that crested tissue appeared spontaneously on a specimen of an already monstrose bridgesii, which they now distribute as Trichocereus bridgesii f. cristata-monstrosus Clone B, describing it as mostly spineless blue-green tissue in thin or rounded ridges, sometimes resembling a cresting wave, with each cutting turning out unique.

NOTES
This corroborates the Freaky Cacti account that the monstrose-to-crested switch can arise spontaneously rather than from injury. Two independent sources now describe it.
