Origin note:Found in place at a motel on El Camino Real, Mountain View, California, in the 1960s, by D. Reynolds, who was twelve at the time. An heirloom clone in the strict sense: one person, one place, one date. The San Pedro Cactus Wiki lists a "Dave Reynolds Bridgesii", which is very probably the same plant and supplies the first name.
