Story: Pala Rez Radio is the station run out of the Pala Band of Luiseño Indians' reservation, and the plant is named for the billboard it was found under. A roadside find, not a collection or a breeding program — the same pattern as Lumberjack (a building-supply store parking lot) and Ohlone (a college campus). Worth flagging as a recurring category: found-in-place clones , where the naming is purely locational and the plant's actual genetic origin is completely unknown. ⚠ Distinct from Pala: , despite sharing the town name.
