STORY
LMA = La Mirada Angelo. Angelo owned the original stand; La Mirada (LA County) is the town it grows in. Combines person and place in one acronym. Traits: rib edges lighter in color than the flanks, a distinctly wavy rib line, downward- angled spines. Goes bald very readily — Dave notes the spines pop off at the lightest touch as they emerge and do not regrow, so a fallen leaf brushing against it leaves a permanently spineless patch. If you want a bald cactus, this is the easy one. Video references YouTube origin explanation — 9:40
