Origin note:Huntington Botanical Gardens accession 18568, accessioned 20 August 1958. Trichocereus.net note that a plant on the market as H80361 probably also originated from Harry Johnson, and that Huntington huanucoensis material generally traces to seed Johnson supplied. Keeper Trout separately records a Huntington aff. huanucoensis missing its accession data which Jon Trager suspected came from Johnson seed.

NOTES
The 1958 accession date sits well with the Harry Johnson route, which is dated to the 1950s. Both HBG 18568 and HBG 80361 are likely part of that same introduction.
