IDENTIFYING FEATURES
Slow, thick, wrinkled almost Lophophora-like crown tapering to a smooth fat base, medium spines low on the base. Critically, its appearance is condition-dependent: grafted and grown fast it can look like ordinary bridgesii, and can revert to the characteristic look after degrafting or with time.

STORY
Named in memory of SAB board member Denis Shaw, who used the handle "Chemical Shaman" and had died four years before the 2014 giveaway that put the clone into circulation.
