STORY
The name originally meant "predominate cultivar", a description of how common the plant is rather than a compliment. It is ubiquitous in Californian parks, schools and gardens. Trichocereus.net report testing in which Californian PC plants came out overwhelmingly uniform, consistent with a single clone rather than a seed line.
