ORIGIN

Locality:Serra Gardens, Fallbrook, California

Origin note:From Serra Gardens, described by Sacred Succulents as originally part of Ed Gay's South American collections. Third Eye Forest credit its introduction to cultivation to Don at Serra Gardens, who had bought the largely field-collected collections of several botanists. This places it in the same Ed and Betty Gay cluster as Don Huan and Betty's Gold.

NOTES
Previously had no sources at all.
Name drift · medium"Sierra Blue" is a common misspelling and should resolve to this record. Serra is correct, after Serra Gardens.
SPECIES
Contested. Sacred Succulents describe it as T. peruvianus "Serra Blue", a beautiful stemmed fat clone. Third Eye Forest call it one of the original fat macrogonus/peru types. World Seed Supply sell it as a peruvianus clone. So peruvianus is the trade label and macrogonus the competing read.
