ORIGIN
Locality:Sebastopol & Gilroy, CA
Origin note:Kakster. In his own account (summarized): he obtained RS0001 about thirty years ago from the now-defunct Sticky Business nursery in Sebastopol, CA; RS0002 from a collector emigrating who had assembled lookalike peruvianus from various local sources; and RS0003 from Makuto Kimura's former nursery near Gilroy, CA. All three looked distinguishable at first, but once grown side by side under identical conditions they converged and became impossible to tell apart without tags. He concluded they are very likely one clone or siblings from one seed batch, and now distributes them under the combined label.

NOTES
clone_type changed from botanical accession to seed line: there is no institution behind it, and the label covers siblings rather than one verified genotype.
Name drift · mediumThree separately acquired accessions deliberately merged into one label because Kakster could not tell them apart once grown in the same location. This is the clearest documented case in the database of visually distinct plants converging under shared conditions, and it is a caution against phenotype-based identification generally.
